During our precious summer months, some dancers head off to train eight hours a day in pre-professional intensives while others sleep until noon then happily float the river. We support both of these options and everything in between! All too soon, summer comes to an end and bam — it’s time for Nutcracker auditions! To help our local dancers prepare, GCB offers Boot Camp for Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced dancers!
(Note: These workshops have limited space and are intended for dancers who plan to audition for Nutcracker.)
Announcing 2026 Boot Camps

Location: Ballet Arts Academy
June 30: Deadline to register with no fee! (registration will open in April)
July 1: On or after, a $25 registration fee applies.
Beginning – $75
5 days (5 hours total) | Aug 17-21 | 5:00-6:00pm
Ages 8-10 (ideally with 1 year minimum of ballet experience; class placement will be confirmed by instructors)
Intermediate – $90
4 days (6 hours total) | Aug 24-27 | 4:30-6:00pm (no class Friday, Aug 28)
Ages 11-13 (with 2 years minimum of ballet experience; class placement will be confirmed by instructors)
No pointe instruction offered during this camp.
Advanced (Week One) – $150
5 days (10 hours total) | Aug 17-21 | 6:15-8:15pm
Ages 14 and older. Pointe participation at discretion of instructor.
Advanced (Week Two) – $120
4 days (8 hours total) | Aug 24-27 | 6:15-8:15pm (no class Friday, Aug 28)
Ages 14 and older. Pointe participation at discretion of instructor.
Advanced (Both Weeks) – $240 (18 hours total, includes one free two-hour class!)
*Note for Advanced Camps only – If you would like to be considered for drop-in classes instead of the entire week, please send us a request. We ask that you still register and note which days you plan to attend — there is a max. of (2) classes per week, $30/class.

Fun Facts
- A complimentary (digital) ballet head shot (required for auditions) is included for all dancers! If you choose to use this photo, please print and bring it with you on audition day.
- Boot Camp is not a requirement for Nutcracker auditions.
- Alumni are welcome to register for Boot Camp, if space allows.
Cancellation Policy
If a minimum number of dancers is not registered by June 30, camp will be cancelled and full refunds given. Due to our commitment to paying instructors and renting studio space, no refunds after July 1 will be given (unless your circumstance merits special consideration).
Registration opens in April.
